Paris Cinéma festival is one of the Parisian Summer highlights – and a City of Paris initiative to promote what we call the septième art in the city of light. The feature-packed programme includes literally hundreds of screenings, French and international film stars, and a different country as the event’s guest of honour every year. The City of Paris launched its Mission Cinéma in 2002 to support those independent theatres with revamp and operating grants. Nearly 30 million spectators cluster around Parisian screens every year.
